Death Cave 07:09
In a cave full of shadows Where darkness feels right Their echoes come to life Death creeping around here Loud whispers of fright The howl of beasts arrive Hear the screaming moans of torment A place to lose your mind Within the icy blizzards Of the north where death resides Death Cave With a mind full of demons The sounds start to rise Only death will survive Yells keep getting louder screams loud in disguise Deprives all life inside Death Cave The demons from your head They come to life They feed upon your fear Infect your mind Surrender to the void Within the crag All time and space is lost No turning back Death Cave Inside the blackened tomb There is no light Set free your will to live Give up the fight The darkness will consume The darkness will consume The darkness will consume The hope that lives inside The darkness will consume The darkness will consume The darkness will consume The hope that lives inside

Last Breath 07:17
The mountain screams Agony of defeat The lands grown cold Frozen beneath the trees And so it goes The stories been foretold The ground is weak The mountain begs to speak Last breath will fade Escape the light Call from the grave Into the night The screams grow dim Old heart will turn to stone The trees will weep Left to grow on their own And so it goes The stories been foretold The ground is weak The mountain begs to speak The mountain screams Agony of defeat The lands grown cold Frozen beneath the trees The screams grow dim Old heart will turn to stone The trees will weep Left to grow on their own

The road forlorn it wreaks of decay The smell of death, chaos and dismay Cessation of life along with their gods The martyr, the sinner, the blessed they still rot Still rot Endlessly suffering Within this wretched world Marching on Endlessly suffering Forever Within this wretched world The sky in flames The ground crumbles Endure the fall Losing control The fire is coming down A blaze upon the ground Never give up on hope Walking the lonely road The ground it shakes and cracks Furious habitat Death comes from all around The sky down to the ground The End The end of misery Let go Anguish and agony No more There is no chosen path Destroy Destroy look back and laugh Suffer eternal anguish Rise above the barricade Everything in disorder Like the grindstone to the blade Chaos that’s ever lasting Forever in revolve Don’t try to understand it Riddles you can not solve The End The end of misery Let go Anguish and agony No more There is no chosen path Destroy The road forlorn it wreaks of decay

The Forrest entices them to go A calling Only those who listen to the trees Will answer Summoning the ancient and the sage To gather A holy grove the smoke begins to rise So high, so high Tales upon this earth Shared between the few Who seek enlightenment The one who sees the rising smoke Will answer to the call Speaks of ancient gatherings Of trees so wise and tall Planting seeds and parables Of knowledge meant to grow The lizard queen arrives Baring gifts of leaf and snow Tales upon this earth Shared between the few Who seek enlightenment Walking this sacred land Within the elder storm Smoldering in the ash Visions begin to form A tale is being woven Using strings through eternity Her words for mystic images Applying sorcery Burning leaf and falling snow Enhance the altered state The elder seers wisdom Prepares them for their fate I have seen the rise and fall I have seen the end A glimpse into the universe A place where time begins Through icy blizzards of the north That tore my soul apart I felt my hope begin to fade With sorrow in my heart As dark as death yet full of light It stole time out of me 200 years of solitude My eyes begin to see Visions of the coming storm The one to end it all Which is why we’ve gathered here In a grove where trees grow tall Not to mourn but celebrate All that we have done Our magic will outlive our minds Beneath the setting sun So breathe in deep the smoke of time As tales are told my friends With a warm and sure embrace We acknowledge the end The end The end of everything That we know and love The end Embers come raining down From the sky above The end The seer let them know About their bitter end The end With death will come rebirth There will be life again The end

A whisper deep In ancient woods Flames illuminate a hidden cave Inside the wizard He's conjuring Black smoke drifts from his eyes As he casts a spell Of confusion on mankind And his fingers dance Pulling out the summoned flame Burning symbols hang against The black of space beyond Planets roll across his eyes The Wizard lives forever on The cave will dissolve before The burning signs Endlessly carving away A piece of time They shall be cursed forever The spell begins Forever cursed confusion Until the end Within the haunted lost tomb The wizard waits Beyond death a dream is heard Merciful fate As the sun starts to grow dim Aeon is lost Cold laughter across the stars Crisp winter frost The smoke fades into the night Forgotten lore Confusion across the land Forever more Curse, The curse of The wizards return As he casts a spell Of confusion on mankind And his fingers dance Pulling out the summoned flame Burning symbols hang against The black of space beyond Planets roll across his eyes The Wizard lives forever on

about

The main theme throughout the album is the inevitable death and decay of not only humans, but the trees and the mountain as well. Just south of Seattle, the Klickitats called Mount St. Helens "Louwala-Clough," while the Cowlitz tribes called it "Lavelatla." These two terms had the exact same meaning, “Smoking Mountain." This idea is what cemented the name for deathCAVE’s first full-length record.
